America’s Direct sustain Professionals are the backbone of sets for people with impairments and disabilities. They aim to provide sets to people with disabilities and help them live a healthy and happy life, like other human beings. Depending on the various needs, they provide assistance with health maintenance, personal care and behavioral development. Just like various jobs in CNA and other caregiver jobs, there is an increasing need in this job because of commitment and the courage that they show to ensure the healthy living of each person on this earth.

Direct sustain professionals can work in various ways. They can work in group homes, with two to three people being served or day programs where there is pre-employment training. They also work in vocational rehabilitation centers and other community-based sets. No single title can be used to describe their work. Unlike specialized topics, they can do a lot of things and, consequently, can be called by many different titles.

Duties and Responsibilities

Direct sustain professionals provide the highest quality of care and service. They intend to encourage people to live life by participating in daily activities such as shopping or going to concerts. Responsibilities may however, vary with intensity depending on the work. Some of the basic responsibilities are:

• Assist the person in achieving his goals by helping him participate in activities that they prefer or working themselves to conquer the barriers.

• Communicate with medical professionals and help them receive proper medical care to assure that they are healthy.

• Help consumers with proper eating habits in addition as grooming and dressing them.

• Professionals are required to assist them in lifting objects in addition as walking properly. In short, assisting them in maintaining their mobility and stability is the aim of professionals.

• enhance living skills such as cooking, laundry, washing and other household chores. however, teaching those skills which can help in job searches and maintaining job performance, and recording their progress in skill development and achievement.

• Serving as a role form and mentor, to guide and coach them, is extremely important when it comes to duties. This can be done by demonstrating different behaviors and teaching skills and techniques to manager various situations.

• They should also provide training programs and position meetings, to create more awareness and motivate the individuals to participate and speak-up their thoughts.

Direct sustain specialized Training

The Direct sustain specialized Training program certifies an individual with a licensed certificate which is based upon competencies or skills that are necessary for an excellent job performance. Many universities and communities offer a training program. There are now over 4,400 licensed people who are trained and almost thirty-five Regional Occupational Centers and Programs offer training at no cost.

The training is divided into two equal parts of 35 hours which can be completed in consecutive years. Professionals are required to pass a challenge test for each 35-hours program and demonstrate their knowledge about how well they can assist individuals. The training is a vocational training with a wide variety of activities to choose from. People of all age groups can do the training, already if they are high school students or adults. The selection of trainers, however, is based upon their education, and experience to reassure that the best sets are being provided to individuals.
